Chevrolet Onix

Tue, 23 Oct 2012

The new Chevrolet Onix compact hatchback has made its world debut at this year's Sao Paolo motor show.

The Onix, developed from GM's small car architecture by General Motors do Brasil, is being produced in the GM Complex in Gravataí.

Its rather busy face features pulled-back lamps appear to have an awkward relationship with the split grille. Its monovolume profile is sharpened bu strong fender creases and a sharp light-catcher above the rocker.

The interior is dominated by black with silver accents on the air vents, door handles, gearshift, dials and the steering wheel. The Onix incorporates Chevrolet MyLink system that allows the driver to display their personal infotainment features on a separate seven-inch color LCD screen.

The Onix will be offered in Chevrolet's LS, LT and LTZ trim levels that can be customized with adhesives and appliqués with ‘Joy', ‘Race' and '24 Hours' themes.

The Onix will go on sale in Brazil in next month.
