Dok-ing Automotive contest calls for fresh interior designs

Fri, 30 Nov 2012

Dok-ing Automotive has launched a global sketch contest calling for interior designs for its XD concept.

Launched in collaboration with the Automotive Design Conference, the Croatian carmaker wants to see new, fresh and luxurious interior designs that embody its company slogan – ‘Driving First Class'.

The XD's high-quality materials, colors, shapes along with the doors and seating layout offers a lot of scope for personalization through the use of color and material and so the design needs to be easy to alter in production.

Your submission has to include three seats, three touchscreens on the dashboard (a 12″ central screen and two 17″ screens on each side) as well as the Dok-ing Automotive logo.

The judging panel comprises of Daniel Tomicic
 (Automotive Design Conference), Hannah McMurray
(Green Car Design), Kaspar Kiis (
GrabCAD) and Elvis Tomljenovic (Dok-ing Automotiv, Product Development).

Once the panel has decided the winner and the top 20 designs they will be announced during the Automotive Design Conference and on the competition website site on 7 April 2013.

The winner will see their project developed and presented in the next XD concept while they will also pick up a Pen Tablet worth $650.

The twenty best works will be on show at the Auto 2013 Automotive Design Conference in Zagreb, Croatia, from 5-7 April 2013.

The submission deadline is 1 March 2013. For full details, rules and information on how to submit your designs visit the official contest website. Good luck!
