Ferrari FF 4WD - explained in the Ferrari video below

We’re still trying to agree on which car was the star of the show at Geneva 2011. But whatever we eventually settle on – if we ever do – the Ferrari FF is one of the top contenders.

Many have taken issue with its modern take on a Shooting Brake design, finding it a step too far for a Ferrari. For us, it’s a triumph.

The Ferrari FF is the Ferrari SUV; it’s the Ferrari Estate; it’s the Ferrari Saloon. But by wrapping it all up in a Shooting Brake body Ferrari has managed to create a car that can fulfil those roles without attracting serious criticism. Clever move.

As is the 4WD system on the FF – a Ferrari first. The 4WD system on the FF is part-time and only kicks in when slip is sensed, which means the FF will drive like a Ferrari. And because the 4WD system Ferrari has created is essentially simpler and lighter than other 4WD systems, it has little impact on weight or performance.

All clever stuff. And to make sure we’re in no doubt about how clever, efficient and light the new 4WD system is, Ferrari has made a video to tell us.

Which we thought might interest you.
