Ferrari Power Extended Warranty can run for 12 years

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

Your Ferrari can now be warrantied for up to 12 years

It used to be that once your twelve months warranty on a car was done and dusted you were on your own. But things have changed massively in recent years. From Kia’s 7 year warranty to Vauxhall’s ‘Lifetime’ warranty, owning a car for an extended period is now much easier thanks to new warranties offering fixed-cost liabilities – no more nasty surprises.

And even supercar makers are getting in on the act, with three and four year warranties commonplace and long-term servicing packs available.

Ferrari’s offering has become a seven year service package built in to the cost of new cars and a four year manufacturers warranty too.

But if that’s not enough Ferrari has announced that owners can now opt for an extension to the full manufacturers warranty to five years and an extended Power Warranty – underwritten by Ferrari – that allows owners to extend warranty from year six to year twelve of ownership.

Ferrari aren’t revealing how much the new Power Extended Warranty will cost, but they do say they’re offering a 15 per cent renewal incentive year-on-year and an additional 15 per cent incentive if you have no claims in the previous year.

It’s not going to be peanuts to buy, but if you want to be sure your Ferrari isn’t storing up any nasty bank-breaking surprises, it’s a sensible offering.

And an indication that even supercars are far more reliable long-term than ever before.
