The impressive structure of the Ferrari World Theme Park on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi

Makers of super cars may be having something of a torrid time at the moment with the world saving instead of spending. But if you have an iconic brand there’s more than one way to skin a cat to bring in the revenue. Cue Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi which has now risen from the desert and well on the way to being finished for the grand opening in 2010.

Ferrari World is set to be the biggest indoor theme park in the world when it opens in 2010, and what better place to locate it than alongside the new F1 circuit on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi – deep in the heart of one of Ferrari’s most important markets.

But this isn’t just a theme park with a few Ferraris dotted around. Besides being located right next to the F1 circuit it offers everything from shops and restaurants to race car simulators and the world’s fastest roller coaster.

The stunning exterior of the theme park is now completed and extends to over 2,000,000 sq ft, enclosing a public area of over 1,000,000 sq ft. The roof design is inspired by the classic double curve side profile of the Ferrari GT body and the Ferrari logo on the roof is a huge 213 feet high.

In case you’re thinking of raiding the piggy bank for next year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, we’ve posted the Press Release for Ferrari World so you can get all the gen.
