Ford Focus Facelift price and spec – costs from £13,995

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

The new Ford Focus will be in dealers in November 2014

The facelift for the Ford Focus was revealed back in February, but only now are Ford getting their act together with prices and specifications, and the new Focus won’t be in Ford’s UK showrooms until November. Key changes for the new Focus include the new family grill (well, the ‘Aston’ family grill), some tweaks to the lights and alloys and a less cluttered, more upmarket interior, new engines and chassis changes.

Ford has retained the same model line-up for the new Focus – and the same starting price – with the Focus Studio ((from £13,995), Style (£16,795), Zetec (£18,295), Zetec S (£20,045), Titanium (£19,795) and Titanium X (£21,795) which means the starting price stays the same and the top-end Titanium models drop by £100.

Starting point is the Focus Studio 1.6 TI-VCT with a 5-speed manual ‘box if you want a petrol-engined Focus and £17,895 for the Studio 1.6 TDC if you prefer diesel power.

Ford is continuing its technology offerings on the new Focus – which, since 2011, has included parallel parking, Active City, Traffic Sign Recognition and Blind Spot Information System – and adds Perpendicular Parking to cover all parking needs with Cross Traffic Alert for when you’re reversing out of a space and Park Out Assist for when you’re leaving a parallel parking space.

The new Focus also gets Ford’s SYNC2 with 8″ touchscreen, voice control, SatNav, Climate, phone connection, split screen and MyKey for controlling speed limits and audio volume.

Suspension tweaks - including new dampers and bushes – should give the Focus back its ‘drivers car’ crown, and engine are refined with better economy and new arrivals.

They include a new 1.5 litre EcoBoost with 148bhp and 177bhp and a new 1.5 litre TDCI diesel with 94bhp and 118bhp, with the 3-cylinder EcoBoost continuing with 99bhp or 123bhp.

Mark Ovenden, Ford’s UK MD, said:

The Ford Focus is the UK’s favourite family car, so the launch of the new model is an exciting time.

With unmatched levels of technology and impressive fuel economy, combined with Ford’s traditional driving dynamics and competitive pricing, we believe that the new car will not only delight our existing customers but also expand the appeal of the Focus brand.

The new Ford Focus goes on sale later in 2014 with prices starting from £13,995. First cars in UK dealers in November.
