Freedom Edition joins Jeep Patriot lineup for 2013

Mon, 12 Nov 2012

The 2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition will join the Jeep lineup alongside the Wrangler Freedom Edition as another tribute to the United States military. Jeep will donate $250 of each Freedom Edition sale to military charities. Additionally, Chrysler is offering $500 cash back on the purchase of any new Chrysler Group vehicle to active members of the armed forces and veterans .

The Freedom Edition Patriot gets an assortment of visual upgrades, including special badges on the hood, rear-quarter panels and interior. Exclusive Mineral gray 17-inch wheels will complement the body that comes finished in red, white or blue. An “Oscar Mike” badge sits on the front, which means “on the move” for those who haven't played first-person shooter Call of Duty.

Standard features on the Freedom Edition consist of the same features as the Latitude model, plus a sunroof, Security and Cargo group, all-season floor mats and, on 4X4 models, the All-Weather Capability group.

Engine choices remain the same. Buyers can specify either a 172-hp, 2.4-liter I4 or a 158 hp 2.0-liter. Buyers will have their choice of a regular five-speed automatic transmission or a CVT.

The 2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition has a base price of $22,440 and is in dealerships now.
