Hershey auction and swap meet gets under wayThu, 06 Oct 2011 00:00:00 -0700
The Hershey Auction in Pennsylvania is in full swing on Thursday, and our friends from Hagerty Insurance are there. The event is hosted by RM Auctions and includes some of the rarest auto antiques in the world.
The two-day event auction coincides with the Antique Automobile Club of America Eastern Division Fall Meet, bringing even more classic sheetmetal to the Hershey Lodge. Once again, RM is sponsoring the Night at the Museum charity event to benefit the AACA family.
But beyond the classics, muscle cars and hot rods, a variety of automobilia is on sale at tents strewn around the site. Ford Model A fenders, Packard door handles and Cadillac hubcaps are seen next to antique keys, road signs and gas-station leftovers.
Here's a quick gallery of some of the stuff the guys from Hagerty have seen so far. You can see more on their Facebook page here.
