Honda Civic Estate Concept, NSX & CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC at Geneva 2013

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

Honda will show a concept Civic Estate – the Civic Wagon Concept – the latest NSX Concept and the new  CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC at Geneva 2013.

With the 2013 Geneva Motor Show just around the corner, there are going to be lots of car news stories about car makers’ plans for their Swiss outing.

Today, we get the news that a Honda Civic Wagon concept will be debuting on Honda’s stand which, say Honda, hints at the design direction of the final production version.

The Civic Estate, which will be built at Honda’s UK plant in Swindon, shows a Civic Estate that looks very shooting brake in design, with the back door handles hidden and a coupe-like roofline – with hints of the Accord Tourer round the back end – and looks a convincing effort if it arrives looking like this ahead of a likely launch in early 2014.

Also on offer from Honda at Geneva will be the latest NSX Concept - which appeared at Detroit last month – complete with an interior for its first outing in Europe as Honda continue on their seemingly never-ending journey to build a new supercar.

Finally, we get the CR-V 1.6 -i-DETC with its new frugal diesel engine which promises economy of 78.5mpg and emissions of 94g/km. Honda say the CR-V 1.6 -i-DETC – only available with FWD and a manual ‘box – provides an exceptional balance of performance and economy, but as Honda hasn’t told us how the CR-V 1.6 -i-DETC performs we’ll have to take their word for it.

All three cars will be presented at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show which kicks off the first week of March.
