Invisible car created in the UK!

Sun, 03 May 2009

Sara Watson, a Lancashire art student, has created an Invisible Car.

[ad#ad-1]

I’m sure we could all find some cracking uses for an invisible car. No more traffic wardens to worry about. Speeding tickets would be a thing of the past. And you’d never need to clean it again. But I guess you’d have a few problems with people running in to you!

So it’s a bit of a dream (the ‘Stealth Car’), but a 22 year old student in Lancashire has created the next best thing.

Sara Watson, who is studying drawing and image making at The University of Central Lancashire, created an ‘Invisible Car’, in much the same way as those clever pavement artists create illusions of cavities or pot-holes, by creating an illusion.

Sara was given the car by a local scrap dealer, and spent three weeks creating the illusion. So successful was it that she had people practically bumping in to it as they walked up. There is no Photoshopping of the picture here, this is how it looks. Just a ghosting of an outline – a virtually see-through car.

Clever girl!
