The Jaguar F-Type Coupe is #GoodToBeBad

Back in November we revealed that the Jaguar F-Type Coupe was going to feature in an advert – Rendezvous – during the Super Bowl in the US as Jaguar look to bring attention in the States to perhaps the most impressive Jaguar in a generation or two.

Focusing on the predilection of Hollywood directors to cast British actors as villains, the new F-Type Coupe Super Bowl advert features Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong as archetypal British villains, with the new Jaguar F-Type front and centre.

The advert suggest that Brits make the best villains because they sound right, are more focused, more precise, always one step ahead, have a certain style, an eye for detail and are obsessed by power. Just like the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe.

Shot on location in London, there’s a white F-Type Coupe, a London Bus, a helicopter (which manages to hint at the London 2012 sequence with Daniel Craig’s James Bond and the Queen) and plenty of tourist views of London, all designed to show that the new Jaguar F-Type is the automotive equivalent of the best British movie villains.

Jaguar are promoting the hashtag #GoodToBeBad as the essence of the F-Type Coupe’s appeal, and it’s a glossy, glitzy, slightly tongue-in-cheek proclamation that the Jaguar F-Type Coupe – just like the best British film villains – offers an appealing and individual alternative that stands out from the rest.

And we have to agree – it’s #GoodToBeBad .
