Jaguar explains 'The Art of Villainy'

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

British actor Tom Hiddleston reprised his role as baddie of note in the latest Jaguar F-Type coupe #GoodToBeBad ad campaign. This one is called “The Art of Villainy.” The 2 minute, 30-second clip debuted on YouTube on Tuesday.

The campaign poses that Brits always make the best villains due to their accent, elocution and style. Hiddleston was joined by Sir Ben Kingsley and Mark Strong during the company's Super Bowl ad earlier this year.

The spot is flanked by three other clips named “Sound Like a Villain,” “Drive Like a Villain,” “Villainous Style,” and “Have a Plan.”

We already loved the F-Type R coupe we drove in January, and these commercials just put a point on how undeniable cool the new two-seater really is. It features the same engines as the convertible versions: A 335-hp or 375-hp supercharged V6 and a 543-hp V8, and an eight-speed automatic.
