Join CAR’s Twitter feed for instant chat, comment and rumination from the CAR team. We’re experimenting with the new social media tool and using it to newscast breaking news, thoughts and ideas from our team of journalists 24/7.

You can follow our Tweets by clicking here – just click on follow CARmagazinetim to access our feed. You can then follow online or on your mobile phone for minute-by-minute updates from CAR.

Good question. Our thinking is that we can provide you with news and chat from CAR in whatever format you want it. So while you might enjoy reading CAR Magazine at home and keeping in touch with the daily news at work on your PC, you might want to try our Twitter feed on your phone when you’re out and about. It’s just another route to market for us – and a valuable experiment in social media.

For the uninitiated, Twitter is a web-based service for keeping in touch with your friends or clients. Users – including CAR – send brief updates called Tweets which are limited to 160 characters (SMS text style). You then choose to ‘follow’ people you’re interested in, to read their Tweets. And you upload your own to communicate with the world.

So give our Twitter feed a try. While CAR Online will remain our main outlet for news, scoops, drives and opinion, there will be times when our Twitter service will break big stories first. It’s a bit of an experiment, so sign up and let us know what you think!
