Land Rover will soon be losing the Freelander name as the next Freelander becomes a new Discovery Sport, but before that we’re getting a revised Freelander range and a new range-topper – the Land Rover Freelander Metropolis. The Freelander Metropolis is a Freelander with all the option boxes already ticked, so you get the best Windsor Leather with electric seats, deep pile carpets to squidge your toes in, Panoramic glass roof for an airy cabin, heated steering wheel and a set of new 19″ alloys.

You’ll also get quality sound thanks to the standard 825 watt surround sound audio, along with LED running lights, reversing camera and a touch screen SatNav too.

Kicking off the revamped Freelander range is the Freelander SE which comes with a heated windscreen, Design Pack, armrests and 18″ alloys with the SE Tech getting the poor man’s upgraded audio (the 380 watt Meridian system), touchscreen infotainment, auto lights and wipers and and 19″ alloys.

The new Freelander SE and SE Tech are offered with a six-speed manual gearbox and TD4 version of the 2.2 litre diesel engine, and the Freelander Metropolis comes with an auto box as standard mated to the SD4 engine.

The revamped Freelander range – SE, SE Tech and Metropolis – goes on sale on 9th June 2014 with prices from £27,765 for the SE TD4 manual to £35,995 for the Metropolis SD4 Auto.
