Lexus LFA: Orchestrated and Choreographed

Sat, 21 Jul 2012

We have video of a trio of Lexus LFA drifting and performing at an event in Japan to the strains of Elgar and Rossini.

There are only 500 Lexus LFAs in existence, so seeing more than one at a time is quite a motoring spot. To see three together in one place is unusual, even more so when they’re performing a car ballet.

We’ve got video of a trio of Lexus LFAs at the Lexus Spindle Night in Odaiba, Tokyo, performing for the assembled crowd what can only really be described as a balletic display of drifting and driving to the strains of Elgar and Rossini. Yes, Land of Hope and Glory to watch the Lexus LFA strut its stuff.

We did think – as the two white and one orange LFA drove round in formation – that the Dambusters may have been more suitable, but considering the connotations, maybe not. But an odd selection of Pomp and Circumstance, Land of Hope and Glory and a bit of Rossini seems odd.

Strangely, it all works quite well and seemed no different to watching a firework display to the strains of something classical.

And at least the £1 million on display in this trio of LFAs is still worth as much at the end of the display as at the beginning – unlike the fireworks.
