MINI owners paying TWICE for servicing

Don’y pay to service your MINI twice

MINI has been busy launching the New MINI of late, with the bigger – and some would say less ‘Mini’ MINI – now revealed in both regular 3-door and new 5-door guise, and many will be popping off to their local MINI showrooms to spec up their new car. And despite a headline starting price for the new MINI Hatch of just £13,750, many buyers will end up adding thousands to the cost once they’ve been tempted by the multitude of options on offer.

But one option that’s a real no-brainer is the MINI TLC Pack.

MINI TLC costs from as little as £299 and covers your new MINI for all servicing costs for five years or 50,000 miles – less than £60 a year – which makes it probably the best option you can tick.

In fact, 97 per cent of all new MINIs leave the showroom with the TLC Pack option specified and owners taking their new car away knowing exactly what their costs will be for servicing for probably as long as they own their car.

But it seems that 25 per cent of MINIs with TLC cover aren’t using their pre-paid option and are taking their cars off to Independent Garages for servicing, either thinking their cover has expired or, as subsequent owners, not aware they have pre-paid servicing.

So MINI are doing the decent thing and have set up a website to check the status of the MINI TLC Pack on any car in the UK so owners don’t end up paying for something they don’t need.

Richard Price, MINI Aftersales Director, said:

We don’t like to see our customers waste their money.

Our TLC servicing pack represents great value… but only if people use it. The new site is designed to help owners see if they have servicing value left on their pack, helping them to avoid paying twice. For those who have already used the full value, the site will help them get a fixed price servicing quote.

So if you have a MINI under five years old and you’re currently paying to have it serviced, pop over to MINI’s TLC site and check.

You could save a few bob.
