Mopar '13 Dart set at $26,480

Wed, 12 Jun 2013

Chrysler's limited-edition 2013 Dodge Dart Mopar '13 is set to arrive in dealerships this summer with a $26,480 price tag after shipping charges.

Chrysler revealed the special-edition Dart at the Chicago auto show in February, marking the fourth special-edition Mopar vehicle since 2009. Previously we've seen the Mopar '10 Challenger, Mopar '11 Charger and Mopar '12 300.

Only 500 copies of the black-and-Mopar-blue themed '13 Dart will be made.

It has a black exterior with an offset blue racing stripe and 18-inch gloss-black wheels. It rides 0.3 inches lower than the base Dart, and includes a ground effects kit with chin spoiler, deck-lid spoiler and rear diffuser.

Inside, the driver's seat is highlighted with Mopar blue leather and black accents, and the rest of the seats are the opposite in black with blue accents. The steering wheel and shift knob are covered in black leather with blue stitching. Mopar blue lighting accents the instrument panel, and there is a bright sport-pedal kit, door-sill guards and Mopar floor mats.

The Mopar '13 Dart is powered by the turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that is rated at 160 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, which is standard on the Dart Aero and available on the SXT, Rallye and Limited models. The '13 Dart is only mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It also has a Mopar sport-tuned exhaust, premium disc brakes with slotted rotors and revised calibration for the power steering.

Each Dart will be delivered with a personalized plate with vehicle specifications, unique identification number and production date, a limited-edition sketch of the car signed by Chrysler Group Chief Designer Mark Trostle and a copy of the Mopar '13 Dart brochure. It all comes in a custom-made black case.

Dealers are taking orders for the 2013 Mopar '13 Dart now.
