New Hyundai i30 3-Door: Price from £13,995

Wed, 28 Nov 2012

Hyundai has announced that the new i30 3-door – the ‘sportier’ i30, will cost from £13,995 in the UK and come in three trim levels - Classic, Active, Sport and Sport Nav.

Cosmetically, the i30 3-door gets differentiated from its 5-door sibling by a new front bumper with bigger spoiler, a new back end…and the loss of a couple of doors. There’s also new fogs, new grill and a sport looking back end with LED lights.

Entry-level for the i30 3-door is Classic trim which comes with Bluetooth, phone and audio controls on the wheel, LED daytime lights, AirCon and decent connectivity.

Make the jump to Active trim (which will cost you £15,195 for the 1.4 petrol and £17,490 for the 1.6 DRCi with 110PS) and you can add 16″ alloys, Cruise, rear parking sensors and leather gear knob and steering wheel. Ahead of the Active  trim levels come the Sport and Sport Nav with a more sporty take on the i30 3-door (and SatNav on the Nav – in case you were confused).

The Sport and Sport Nav get a choice of the 1.6 120PS petrol (£16,990 plus an extra £1k for the Nav version – but you do get a touchscreen system with TMC and rear view parking camera with Parking Guidance System) and the .16 CRDi with 128PS (£18,990 plus and extra £1k for the Nav version). Also in the mix is the 100g/km Blue Drive Active 1.6 CRDi 110PS at £17,490.

As expected, decent spec levels and decent prices for a good-looking coupe (which will become more interesting when Hyundai delivers the i30 3-door Turbo).

The Hyundai i30 3-door arrives in Hyundai’s UK showrooms on 24th January 2013.
