New design app aims to revolutionize design processWed, 01 May 2013
The Morpholio 2.0 app has been launched with a host of new tools aimed at revolutionizing the design process across all disciplines.
Launched in July last year specifically for architects, this iteration is the result of collaboration between developers and designers in the automotive and fashion fields, among others.
"Aside from making design production easier, we wanted to know if better tools could make it smarter by integrating the wisdom of crowds and capitalizing on the power of the touchscreen to capture feedback," says Anna Kenoff, Morpholio co-creator.
Morpholio 2.0 has developed research into human-to-computer interaction to create features such as ‘EyeTime' – a tool for image analytics – and virtual ‘Crits', a space where users can share their work and comment on others' with notes or sketches.
Other features tools include ‘Portfolio Futures', which allows the easy collation of image sets, ‘Trace', which allows users to instantly draw on top of imported images and ‘Palette', developed to offer ‘highly intelligent' color palettes for sketching in the 'Trace' tool.
‘Pin Up' is a virtual gallery, curated by the public and the developer's curatorial team, while the final tool, ‘Printables', allows users to export print ready files.
Previews of these tools can be found on The Morpholio Project's YouTube channel.
