Nissan 370Z Nismo for UK & Europe: Official

Sat, 09 Feb 2013

The Nissan 370Z Nismo – a titivated and fettled 370Z – has finally arrived for the UK and Europe and will debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

Nissan has fettled the 370Z Nismo for European roads and tastes and, although there’s a bit more power, the focus is on driver fun.

That means the 370Z Nismo comes only with a six-speed manual gearbox and only as a coupe to keep things nice and stiff and keep the driver involved.

The power on offer does grow a little – the 3.7 litre V6 under the bonnet now gets 339bhp and 273lb/ft of torque – so the 0-62mpg improves by a notch – 0.1 seconds quicker to 62mph at 5.2 seconds.

Nissan has also lowered the suspension on the 370Z Nismo by 10mm, made it 15 per cent stiffer, improved the brakes by using technology from the GT-R – including high performance brake fluid – and thrown on a sports exhaust for a bit less resistance and aural delights.

Lots of aerodynamic and cosmetic tweaks see the 370Z Nismo get new nose and tail – with a fixed rear spoiler – a set of 19″ alloys with more sticky tyres (which are bigger at the back), ‘Nismo’ badges dotted around, red highlights, Alcantara trim and sports seats with red stitching.

The Nissan 370Z Nismo for Europe will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March and go on sale in the UK in the summer. Nissan hasn’t revealed a price yet, but if you think £35k you won’t be far off.
