The 2010 Nissan GT-R at the Tokyo Motor Show

Nissan brought along a 2010 GT-R  to the Tokyo Show last week, so we thought we’d better update you with the changes they’ve made. Nothing too drastic, but tweaks none the less.

Nissan has had a play with SatNav on the GT-R and installed a new HDD Carwings Nav system with some extra entertainment functionality. Any SatNav is an improvement for UK buyers. The first wave – basically every GT-R until now – didn’t even get a SatNav. Nissan hadn’t cracked the UK/Euro version. So at least when this version starts to hit our shores next year you’ll be able to find your way back from wherever you blasted off to. And you’ll also be able to listen to you iPod and connect up your phone with the Bluetooth.

The GT-R also gets a tweaked suspension to dial in a bit more comfort and Nissan has stuck on the rear diffusers from the SpecV to the standard models and the SpecV gets revised shocks and Dunlops. All GT-Rs receive a revised ECU and Cats giving improved low and mid range engine response.

There’s no word when the 2010 GT-R will hit the UK. It goes on sale in Japan in December, so it will probably be well in to 2010 before any of the new models hit UK shores. Also no word yet on revised prices for the 2010 GT-R.

But at least you won’t get lost in your 2010 Nissan GT-R.
