Nissan Qashqai n-tec introduced

Sun, 19 Apr 2009

Nissan has announced a new version of its best selling Qashqai - the Nissan Qashqai n-tec

But Nissan aren’t standing still with the Qashqai. They introduced the Qashqai+2 option to give seven seat capability to the Qashqai, and now they are beefing up option levels on the top of the range Tekna version, and introducing a new model – The Nissan Qashqai n-tec.

The Qashqai n-tec slots in between the Tekna and the Acenta and brings a well-equipped extra version to the good handling compact SUV. As the name suggest, the n-tec focuses on technology, in particular Nissan’s very good Nissan Connect System.

The Nissan Connect system offers a decent satnav touch screen, bluetooth, iPod connectivity and a CD with MP3 playback. In the Qashqai the Nissan Connect also gives you a colour reversing camera. But Nissan are also throwing in 18″ wheels, panoramic sunroof and privacy glass, together with some silver-coloured highlights (roof rails, door handles etc.) to mark the n-tec out from its lesser siblings.

In addition to adding the n-tec model, Nissan has also added the same Nissan Connect system to the range topping Tekna model, which also benefits from xenons, leather trim, heated seats and keyless entry.

Nissan Qashqais are good value for money, and the extra kit, and the new n-tec model, make them even better value. The n-tec and revised Tekna go on sale immediately, with ths first cars being delivered in the UK in May.

The Qashqai n-tec starts at £17,645 and the Qashqai Tekna from £19,245
