Nissan recalls Rogue for power-steering problemMon, 05 Dec 2011 00:00:00 -0800
Nissan is recalling 7,365 copies of the 2011 Rogue to fix a problem with the power steering.
The affected vehicles were built between Aug. 17 and Oct. 30, 2010.
Nissan says a circuit board may not have been installed in the correct position on the electric power steering assist control unit. This may cause the solder on the circuit board to crack or break.
If the circuit board fails or separates, the power-steering system will stop working, which could lead to a crash.
Nissan will replace the control unit for free. Owners can contact Nissan at (800) 647-7261 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at (888) 327-4236.
