Noble M600 new photos

Noble has sent us some proper sized image of the new Noble M600

We do love the look of this new Noble, but it is a big risk for the small company from Leicestershire. It is very much uncharted territory for them. They’ve had success building ‘Garden Shed’ cars in the £50-75k range for a few years now, but to suddenly catapult themselves in to real supercar territory with a £200k supercar is a big leap of faith.

But the M600 certainly has the right credentials to be at this price level. The 600bhp Volvo V8 with twin turbos will certainly deliver the goods – 0-60mph in 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 225mph – and the M600 does have a very high-quality construction, with a stainless steel tub and chassis and carbon fibre body. Even the inside looks a delight, and doesn’t seem – at least in pictures – to suffer from the home-made look that afflicts many cars from small manufacturers.

But Noble are going to build 50 M600s a year, which is £10,000,000 worth of cars. Which in a global perspective is chicken feed. But the M600 isn’t a global car. The M600 will only be sold in the UK. Which does beg the question ‘Are there 50 people in the UK prepared – and able – to stump up £200k for a supercar from a minnow car maker?’.

Time will tell. We do hope so. It looks a cracking car. And we’ll get to see it at the Goodwood Revival next month.
