Overfinch Range Rover Sport GTS-X gets 575bhp

Mon, 06 Aug 2012

Overfinch has revealed its most powerful Range Rover yet – the Range Rover Sport GTS-X – with 575bhp and 0-60mph in 5.0 seconds.

Now Overfinch is back on track new models are starting to take shape. And the Overfinch Range Rover GTS-X, revealed today after a brief debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last month, is one of the most appealing Overfinch has ever churned out.

Rather than a purely cosmetic offering, the Overfinch GTS-X focuses on the power and performance of the Range Rover Sport with the 5.0 litre Supercharged V8 churning out 575bhp and 516lb/ft of torque. That translates in to performance of 0-60mph in 5.0 seconds and a  top speed of 145mph.

As well as a big boost in power, the Overfinch Range Rover Sport gets an electronic lowering module for improved ride quality and stability under braking, helped by a rear spoiler that adds downforce.

Overfinch branded 380mm drilled and vented Brembos add stopping power, there’s a set of huge 22″ alloys and even a driver-controlled electronic release valve for the exhaust to get just the right soundtrack.

Cosmetic changes are a fairly subtle body kit and colour coded side panels, vents and door handles with a gloss black nose with LED running lights. There’s also a special Overfinch engine cover for a better view when you open the bonnet.

Inside is nicely done with Nappa leather and contrast stitching on the Overfinch designed seats, headlining, boot door, door cards and pillars with black instrument dials, with a splash of copper orange to compliment the bodywork and contrast stitching. Throw in a liberal smattering of carbon fibre and you have a Range Rover Sport interior the reeks quality rather than aftermarket titivation.

So how much does the Overfinch Range Rover Sport GTS-X cost? A not inconsiderable £147,500 is the answer. But in the realms of aftermarket transformations of uber SUVs, that’s not half as shocking as a lot of pretenders.
