Famed designer Chris Bangle will be hosting a four-day workshop at the Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) in Milan, Italy this summer, following on from last year's successful workshop series. The university has announced that it will be holding the workshops from 9 July to 15 July, revolving around a theme entitled: 'An Endeavor in Discontinuity: Exterior Car Design of the Future'.
The workshop is billed as a unique design experience, which will allow participants from all over the world to work in close contact with one of the most innovative designers of the current scene. Presented in English, the workshop will start on Friday and continue through Thursday, with participants taking Sunday off to visit exhibitions and design showrooms in Milan. Participants will work using SPD's facilities, but the school recommends that attendees bring their own laptop, a digital camera and personal stationery to ensure their designs will be ready for final presentations on Thursday, 15 July. An attendance certificate will be issued to all students who complete the workshop.
SPD is opening participation to the workshop to candidates who have a degree from schools / universities of design and professionals with significant skills and experience in car design. Interested parties are invited to send their CV, portfolio and motivation letter by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
