Skoda Fabia vRS & Skoda Fabia vRS Estate: UK price & detail

Skoda has released UK details and prices for the Fabia vRS and Estate

So you’d quite like a new VW Polo GTI, but you’re a bit hard pushed to stump up getting on for £18k. You could also do with an estate version. So what do you do? Easy, you buy a Skoda Fabia vRS instead.

Skoda has announced UK pricing for their version of the Polo GTI today, and with prices for the Fabia vRS starting at £15,700 and the Fabia vRS Estate at £16,495 there’s a bargain to be had in comparison to sibling VW’s offering.

There’s no shortage of peformance from the vRS or standard kit. The same 1.4 litre supercharged and turbocharged four pot offering up 180bhp and getting a seven-speed DSG twin-clutch is offered in the vRS as in the GTI. That’s enough to give 0-60mph in a shade over 7 seconds and still offer 45mpg.

Goodies are not in short supply either, with 17″ alloys, AirCon, Sports Seats, decent sound with iPod connection and a full compliment of electronic toys – including ESP, ABS, MSR and ASR, +HHC+TPM+XDS (ESP with Hill Hold Control, Tyre Pressure Monitor and Electonically Controlled Differential) – all as standard.

The Skoda Fabia vRS goes on sale at the end of July and looks a mountain of fun to us. Get all the details and specs in the Skoda Fabia vRS UK press release, and if you want a sensibly priced pocket-rocket get a shake on down to the Skoda dealers.

We’re severely tempted as an office pocket-rocket.
