Sold out: RM sells entire vehicle inventory at Hershey auction

RM Auctions recorded a 100 percent sell-through rate at its Vintage Motor Cars of Hershey (Pa.) event. With more than 140 vehicles featured, the auction house posted $8.8 million in total sales.

There was worldwide interest for the cars as bidders on the phone and the Internet represented 18 different countries, including Argentina, Turkey and Australia. Likewise, more than 25 percent of bidders were new to RM Auctions.

The top seller for the two-day event was a 1929 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Coupe that sold for $784,000.

Other top sellers included a 1903 Packard Model F Rear-Entry Tonneau ($374,000), a 1930 Cadillac V-16 Sport Phaeton ($297,000), a 1911 Jackson 50 HP 7-Passenger Touring ($203,500), a 1913 Peerless Model 48-Six Roadster ($200,750) and a 1913 Inter-State Model 45 7-Passenger Touring ($189,750).

All results include a 10 percent buyer's premium.
