Spyker B6 Venator: Geneva Motor Show

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

The Spyker B6 Venator has been revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with Victor Muller hoping it will go in to production in 2014.

Now., with the Geneva Motor Show under way, Victor Muller has revealed the Venator and we have more pictures – but little more detail.

The Spyker Venator is a mid-engined, two seater sport car with a 3.5 litre V6 producing 375bhp with six-speed auto ‘box and rear wheel drive.

The lightweight aluminium chassis is covered by a carbon fibre body – a body designed by Muller, it seems – and weighs in at a decent 1400kg, so performance should be decently lively.

Inside you get a slightly less extreme of Spyker’s opulent interiors with machine-turned aluminium adorning the dash, quilted leather on the seats and an exposed gear shift mechanism that runs back through the cabin.

We still think it highly likely that the fundamentals of the Venator are the Lotus Evora, but Spyker will be charging twice as much for their version as Lotus do - somewhere north of £100k. That’s a lot of money for an Evora that’s had a makeover, but it’s a good looking car – and a chunk cheaper than any other likely offerings from Spyker – and could find a ready market.

Spyker – and Victor Muller – could be back in the game.
