Three Lexus special editions arriving before the new year

Mon, 03 Oct 2011

Lexus has rolled out three special-edition models. They aren't F-branded as we hoped, but they do come with some sporty touches.

The Lexus LS 460 Sport Special Edition gets upgrades from the wheels to the sunroof and a unique obsidian paint job. Elsewhere on the exterior, the LS gets 19-inch, 10-spoke wheels with summer tires, Brembo brakes, a sport-tuned suspension with variable steering and a sporty grille.

Inside, the steering wheel comes with leather and heat and paddle shifters are added, along with a navigation system, a rear power sunshade and heated rear seats. And for the few chauffer-driven sedans, power door closers. Sport and Comfort packages are included in the $77,000 sticker price. The LS 460 Sport Special will hit showrooms in November.

The Lexus ES 350 sedan gets a Touring Edition, which is only available in two colors, stargazer black and starfire pearl. The ES 350 Touring Edition will set itself apart from other ES models with 17-inch wheels with a liquid graphite finish, a wood-and-leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, heated and ventilated seats and navigation. The ES will sticker for $40,475. It also arrives in November.

Even a hybrid gets the special-edition treatment, on the CT 200h F Sport Special Edition. The CT gets upgraded wheels in liquid silver paint, an upgraded suspension with antiroll bar and springs, ocean blue seats and other interior badges and scuff plates. The navigation package and premium audio package are included. The special-edition CT 200h hybrid will arrive later this month with a sticker price of $37,999, not including destination.
