Toyota's offerings at Geneva 2012

The Toyota Yaris Hybrid, Toyota GT 86 and a new compact city car concept – the Toyota FT-Bh – will be at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

Toyota has a stand full of cars to offer at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, with the European debut of the GT 86, the Yaris Hybrid, and the world debut of a new concept – the FT-Bh Concept.

We already know the price of the Toyota GT 86 – a starting point of £25k – and we’ve seen the photos, so now all that’s left is to see the GT 86 in the flesh. For those who’ve already seen it as a concept at shows all over the UK in the last couple of years there are no big surprises, but for those who haven’t, you’ll find it better looking in the flesh.

The Toyota Yaris Hybrid is what the UK will get instead of the new Prius C, a move we approve of. Making a mainstream model ‘Green’ is a much better way to go than spouting a green halo in an Eco-Looking car like the Prius.

The FT-Bh Concept is yet another hybrid concept from Toyota, this time an ultra lightweight full hybrid city car, and Toyota say they’ve purposely avoided complex manufacturing processes and expensive materials to deliver an affordable hybrid city car. Which will no doubt spawn a production model in the future. Perhaps a Toyota Aygo Hybrid?

Also on offer will be a trio of previously seen Toyota concepts – the NS4 Hybrid, the FCV-R Hydrogen Fuel Cell and the Diji.
