Vauxhall Meriva at Geneva - UK prices revealed

Vauxhall has given the 2010 Meriva its first public outing at Geneva (and for that matter Opel has done the same) and seeing it on the floor at Geneva confirms ours suspicions that the New Meriva is almost a cool car (come on, we can’t actually say a mini mpv is really cool). No frumpiness, lots of stylish detail, well conceived and well executed. We still have some doubts about the practicalities of the suicide doors in the real world, but it all looks very good.

Big news on the 2010 Vauxhall Meriva for UK buyers is the release of price and model detail for the UK. Starting point will be the Meriva 1.4 16v 100PS S at £15,495 rising to £21,255 for the 1.7 CDTi 16v 100PS Auto SE. Which is actually a little more than we’d expected at the bottom end, but the spec’s not too shoddy.

All Merivas get CD/MP3 player and USB, graphic information display, heated door mirrors, electric windows and electronic park brake. Move up a notch to Exclusiv trim and you can add AirCon, Cruise, curtain airbags and FlexRail storage. Go mad and splash the cash for the SE and you can add Panoramic glass roof with electronic sunshade, privacy glass and tray tables on the front seat.

Vauxhall are taking order now for the 2010 Meriva. If you’ve missed the launch detail on the new Meriva have a look at that, but we’re pretty sure it’s going to drive as well as it looks. We’ll let you know once we get our hands on one.

Huge leap forward on the old Meriva.
