Volvo C70 Facelift (2010)

Tue, 01 Sep 2009

The Volvo C70 has had a facelift for 2010 and will launch at Frankfurt

The most obvious change to the C70 is the nose, which has been redisigned and appears to take its styling cues from the Volvo S60 Concept we saw prior to Detroit. The V70 gets new front wings, a re-shaped bonnet, new swoopy lights and a new front bumper with a wider grill. It gives the V70 more road presence. There is now a distinct ‘V’ shape to the front end.

Round the back Volvo has put a bigger ‘Volvo’ badge on the boot, restyled the bumper and added LED lights to make the V70 more contemporary. On the inside it looks like the V70 gets a new instrument panel, and the leather upholstery has been upgraded.

Engine line-up is likely to remain the same, with the range topping out at the 227bhp T5 version.

Now these details are out in the open, Volvo will no doubt get on with it and release full details. We do know the facelifted V70 will launch at Frankfurt in a couple of weeks before going on sale in the early New Year.

Update: Volvo has now sent us information on the facelifted C70, but it looks like we’ve already covered everything that matters. But just in case you’re desperate to know what the performance and economy is on each C70 model we’ve posted that below. But no word on price yet.

Update 2: Volvo has now sent us video footage of the C70 Facelift which we’ve posted below.
