Where to rent a Lamborghini in South Florida

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

Everyone's fav tween pop star The worst person in the world Justin Bieber got arrested last night in Miami after leaving SET, a swanky nightclub. He was allegedly drag-racing against a Ferrari 16M Scuderia in a—we're assuming rented—Lamborghini Gallardo. He was also allegedly under the influence of both drugs and alcohol, and resisted arrest without violence before he had the cuffs slapped on. His partner in the drag-racing contest was rapper Khalil, who was also arrested.

With the Beebs in mind, we were wondering where we could rent a Lambo, or maybe something similar, in Miami Beach. We also wondered if we could afford it. Spoiler alert, we can't.

The first place we checked out was Gotham Dream Cars, which has about eight offices in the U.S., including one in Miami.

A Lamborghini LP560-4 Spyder, featuring a 560-hp V10, can be rented during the early part of the week for just $625 per day, unless, of course, you want it toward the end of the week. That makes it $725 per day. And if you want it Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you'll have to write a check for $3,450, or $1,150 per day.

If you'd like to go British, the McLaren MP4-12C will set you back $875 a day during the week, and about $1,200 on the weekend. You get 100 free miles with a Gotham car; drive it any further and you'll have to pay.

At South Beach Exotic Rentals, a Gallardo will set you back $1,199 per day; a Murcielago ups that cost to $1,999. And if you want to do the full Simon Cowell, a Bugatti Veyron will set you back a cool $20K for a single day.

Carefree Lifestyle, “family owned and operated since 2000,” will get you into a Ferrari, Rolls, Mercedes or Lambo. The LP560 goes for $1,299 per day on the low end, an SLS AMG is $1,399 and a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead costs $1,699.

Also from Carefree, you can rent a 157-foot yacht to cruise the Atlantic, throwing giant, gangster-style hot tub parties. The yacht has six guest rooms, six sets of scuba gear, two JetSkis and a 42-foot chase boat! Pricing isn't listed for the yachts, because if you have to ask…

Now, back to Bieber. TMZ sources say Justin's entourage actually blocked the streets off so the race could happen, which undoubtedly drew even more attention the teenager's lapse in judgment. Thankfully no one was hurt, but surely we'll be hearing about this story for days to come.

No word on who won the race. The Ferrari 16M does the 0-60 mph sprint in 3.7 seconds; the Gallardo is capable of the same.
