When I applied air to the sander, the speed increased and decreased depending on how far I depressed the handle, vibrated and sounded fine, like a air tool is suppose to sound. That's as far as I tested the sander.

That should make the next Honda Civic Type R not only a lot quicker than the last Type R, but its power will be accessible much lower down the rev range and economy and emissions will be much improved.
