This is a copy of the August 2000 issue of Bimmer Magazine. It has articles on the 330xi, the x5, the M3 and the series 3 convertible. It also has an article on the 740D:The Torquemeister. The magazine is in excellent condition and there are no address labels on this magazine.The February 2001 issue has articles on the BMW mini, M3 and the M roadster.  The October 2000 issue has articles on the BMW M Coupe vs Audi TT, 3 series diesels and East Germany's secret BMW racers. The December 2000 issue has articles on the Z8, Bullet Proof BMW,323ci,Turbo M3 Convertible and Xenon Headlight Conversion.  This lot also includes two Bavarian Autosport Catalogs: Summer 2000 and Fall and Winter 2000-2001.  I will include a Rocky Mountain Motorworks catalog that contains Part and Accessories for BMW. The February 2001, October 2000 and December 2000 issues are all in the original plastic .   The catalogs are in excellent condition as well. The three Bimmer Magazine issues in plastic do not have address labels on them, but the Bavarian Autosport Catalogs and the Rocky Mountain Motorworks Catalog do have addresses printed on them.

David Hilton has been appointed Head of Exterior Design for Bentley Motors, based in the UK. The super-luxury brand – owned by the Volkswagen Group – is headed by CEO Wolfgang Durheimer, who is also in charge of Bugatti design development. US-born Hilton replaces Raul Pires in Crewe, Cheshire, after he left Bentley at the end of 2011 to join VW-owned Italdesign.

‘Nemesis’ breaks UK electric car speed record

An electric car – based on a second-hand Lotus Exige – has broken the UK electric car speed record with a speed of 151.6mph. We’re not entirely sure how relevant a new UK speed record for an electric car is, but let’s be parochial and report it anyway. The ‘Nemesis’ is an electric car built round a second hand Lotus Exige, bought off eBay, by a team of engineers in a shed in Norfolk and driven by an Estate Agent from Gloucestershire.
