Bmw F650gs G650gs Dakar Sertao Steering Head Bearing Adjustment Tool on 2040-parts.com
Plymouth, Wisconsin, US
For sale is a custom tool for torquing the steering head bearings on BMW F650GS, G650GS, Dakar, and Sertao single cylinder motorcycles years 2001-2012.
Do your handlebars feel wobbly or loose? Do you feel that little notch in the center of your steering? If so, it's time to treat your bike to a new set of steering head bearings. Notched, worn or loose steering head bearings not only make your bike feel unsettled, taking away from the enjoyment of your ride, but they are also dangerous!!
Replacing your 650s steering head bearings is an easy job, if you have the right tools, and will make your bike feel like a different machine.
Applying the correct amount of pressure to tapered roller bearings is the key to longevity. Too much and the bearings will wear prematurely, too little and you will still have sloppy steering. This tool will help you get it right the first time. Simply torque the adjusting nut to 25Nm and back off 60°. (SEE THE BMW SHOP MANUAL FOR SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS!!)
Why pay over $90 for the tool directly from BMW. Get this tool today and be amazed at how much more responsive and stable your 650 will feel!!
Thank you for looking!!

'American Nitro' is back!
Wed, 09 Apr 2014"Seventies drag-race mayhem is back!" bills "American Nitro," a schlocky drive-in exploitation film whose only quote of praise, from a dog-eared period issue of "Car Craft," reads, simply, "SPECTACULAR CRASHES!" Director Bill Kimberlin says that he made "American Nitro" in 1979 as a response to Tom Wolfe's influential 1965 essay, "The Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby." "I was just getting out of high school in a small town in Northern California when Wolfe's book came out," he said. "Nitro came about as my response to the car culture I was exposed to in the small valley town of Boonville, Calif. Instead of 'American Graffiti,' I made 'American Nitro.'" A fitting comparison, in fact, considering Kimberlin later worked for George Lucas at ILM, starting with" Return of the Jedi." Now the movie is being released on DVD for the first time -- beware of bootlegs, warns the website -- and digitally remastered, while retaining the explosive charm and goofy narration of the 1979 original.

And now it’s the turn of Mugen in Japan who have also built a supposedly one-off CR-Z – the Honda CR-Z Mugen RR. The Euro Mugen CR-Z – which was on show at Goodwood last month – was eventually fettled to deliver 197bhp by bolting on a supercharger.
Ford prototype seat measures your heart rate
Tue, 24 May 2011Ford continues its foray into health and wellness with a car that can monitor the driver's heart activity. Research engineers in Germany have developed a prototype seat with six sensors that can monitor the heart's electric impulses through clothes and give an early warning as to whether a driver should seek medical attention because of irregularities. Drivers who have cardiovascular disease are 23 percent more likely to be involved in a car accident.
