This is a used Passenger Side Tail Light Assembly for the E39 Body Style 5 series. It is is very good condition with a few scratches on the lens. I do not know how long they used this style of light, this is off of a 1999 model. It was removed when we upgraded to an aftermarket LED style light in 2003 and has been in my garage ever since. This is a great replacement if you are restoring one of these cars, or to replace your broken tail light.

Royal College of Art and SABIC collaborate on new ‘VISIcON’ program and design competition
Tue, 19 Feb 2013The Royal of Art and chemicals manufacturer SABIC has announced the launch of a three-month research program and competition called 'VISIcON'. Over 30 post-graduate students from the college's Vehicle Design program are studying and analyzing how SABIC's thermoplastic lighting materials and LEXAN polycarbonate (PC) glazing technologies can be used practically and creatively to improve the lighting and illumination of future vehicles. VISIcON asks students from the RCA's automotive students split into three groups: the Automark group's emphasis on developing and enhancing brand identity through lighting; Urban Flow's focus directed towards discovering innovative exterior lighting; and Inside Out studio is working on improving and extending the use of light in the vehicle interior through lighting components and PC glazing.

Opel/Vauxhall Adam Rocks previews crossover, cabrio
Wed, 06 Feb 2013Opel/Vauxhall has previewed its Adam Rocks 'concept' ahead of its world debut at next month's Geneva motor show. This mini-crossover is taller and wider than the production Adam thanks to a suspension raised by 15mm with a 20mm wider stance. Its fabric sunroof suggests it will compete with the Fiat 500C and the new Citroen DS3 Cabrio. The sketches show unpainted plastic bumpers and extended wheelarches along with underbody protection, emphasizing its rugged appearance apparently inspired by "parkour athletes".
