Brand new Boost Referenced Power Valve Actuator

Converts the standard power valve from vacuum operation to boost referenced, using a modified power valve actuator and custom wound compression spring.  Gives boost fuel enrichment using the standard power valve circuit.

Spring specification gives a trigger point of 2psi boost.

Designed to suit the following model Weber and reproduction carbs:

32/36DGV

32/36DGAV

32/36DGEV

38DGMS

38DGAS

38DGES

and any other model Weber or repro carb that uses the same power valve arrangement as the DGV carb.

We are now using these boost referenced power valves as standard fitment to all carbs that we prep for blow through use.

We are very proud to release this product, the Boost Referenced Power Valve (BRPV) actuator, because as far as we know, it is a world first!  After many years of thinking about a simple solution to boost enrichment, and looking at other brand carbs where boost referenced power valves were available off the shelf, we are not aware of an equivalent product available for Weber DGV and DGS series carbs - until now.

Although the end result is obviously a very simple setup, it has taken many months of spring design, bench testing of custom wound spring samples, and on-car dyno testing to get to this stage, to be able to offer another product to our blow through Weber carb arsenal.

For fitment to your own carb, remove the top cover, remove your existing power valve actuator and replace with the BRPV actuator and custom compression spring.  No other changes are needed for the BRPV operation.  The standard machined passage in the carb body will feed boost from the intake manifold to the BRPV actuator diaphragm.

The photos above show the power valve actuator and custom spring as supplied in this ebay listing, the power valve itself located within a DGV and DGS style carbs, as well as some of out test rigs used for R&D purposes, and modified carb body to be able to manually pressurise the BRPV actuator regardless of engine conditions and boost levels.

If you have any questions, just send us a message sales@turbogemini.com and we'll try and reply ASAP, and check out our other auctions for other performance items.  We have several model Weber and repro carbs available, and lots of blow through carb turbo gear.

Pensioner rescued from sinking car

Wed, 13 Aug 2014

A PENSIONER had a lucky escape when he was rescued from his car just before it sank under water after he was stranded on a tidal causeway. The man, in his 80s, was trapped inside the vehicle with the sea rising around him after he got stuck on the causeway between Overton and Sunderland Point, Lancashire, the RNLI said. Emergency services were called just before 3.30pm yesterday and the Morecambe RNLI's inshore lifeboat crew found the man inside the car and unable to open the doors because of the pressure of water.
