VW Golf R at 2009 Frankfurt motor show

By Ben Barry First Official Pictures 15 September 2009 10:30 We’ve seen it lapping the Nürburgring disguised as a 2.0-litre TDI, but at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show Volkwagen officially revealed the fastest ever production Golf: the Golf R. And it’s coming soon! British dealers will take orders in October, with the first owners snaffling the keys in January 2010.

Volvo V60 Polestar teased again (probably)

Volvo V60 Polestar teased again Last week we had a teaser video from Volvo of what we think is probably a proper performance version in the guise of the Volvo V60 Polestar. Now, ahead of a reveal that seems to be scheduled for Tuesday (23 rd November), Volvo and Polestar are back at the tease game with a couple of new images which still leave a bit of ambiguity, but which do seem to be pointing to a V60 Polestar. The front end of the Polestar tease (above) does seem to show a butch front end for the V60, and the interior shot shows the flappy paddles and steering wheel from the interior.

Ford EcoSport SUV: Engines revealed – on sale this year

The Fiesta-based Ford EcoSport SUV will get the 1.25PS EcoBoost engine, Ford SYNC AppLink and on sale before the end of 2013. Ford is debuting the EcoSport in Europe at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today, an apt place to show their baby SUV considering it comes with some smart Ford SYNC toys to keep customers happy. The EcoSport will get the voice-activated SYNC and SYNC Emergency ASsist and will be one of the firts Fords in Europe to get Ford SYNC AppLink which lets you voice control SmartPhone Apps.
