Aspid Cars teases sports car to join open-wheeler

Spanish automaker Aspid Cars informed us last Tuesday that it will be unveiling a sports car to complement its open-wheel track car. The company didn't tell us much aside from saying that the car will be bigger than its first car, that it will be extremely lightweight and that it will offer multiple powertrain options, including a V8 and a KERS-like hybrid system. The company also made sure to note that its name is no longer IFR Aspid.

Jaguar plots new flagship coupe as XK bows out (2014)

The Ian Callum-penned coupe and convertible models, which have jointly sold more than 54,000 units since arriving in 2006, have been canned with no direct replacement in the pipeline. This is the Citroen that will be driven by Sebastien Loeb in the 2014 FIA World Touring Championship as the brand joins the series for the first time. Based on the Citroen C-Elysee saloon, the WTCC is the first model homologated for the new regulations that come into effect next season, with the series set to kick off in Europe in mid-April.
