Tax discs will be scrapped in October: do you know the rules?

Paper tax discs will soon be scrapped forever, but a survey of drivers has found that a half are clueless about the new rules. The survey, of more than 1,000 people, suggests that the DVLA has failed to efficiently inform motorists of the changes – despite them coming in from the 1 October 2014. Koenigsegg Agera R - confirmed for Geneva We discovered last month that one of only two Koenigsegg Agera’s so far delivered had been turned in to a Koenigsegg Agera R – with extra horses and extra Koenigesegg goodness – for a member of the Oman Royal Family. After a few phone calls we were also able to exclusively reveal that Christian von Koenigesegg liked what he’d done to the Agera so much, the Koenigsegg Agera R was to be turned in to a production model and would turn up at the Geneva Motor Show. And so it is.

New Volkswagen Golf is European Car of the Year

The new Volkswagen Golf Mk 7 is the European Car of the year for 2013, polling twice as many votes as the second place Toyota GT86 (and Subaru BRZ). Last year we had the Vauxhall Ampera voted as European Car of the Year, a verdict we called ‘Completely Stupid’. And in 2011 it was the Nissan LEAF that took the Car of the Year Gong.
