BOZ BROTHERS GILD SERIES STAINLESS STEEL DUAL SLIP-ON STREET CORE EXHAUST

FITS SUZUKI GSX-R1000 07-08

MSRP $1117.95

Exhaust comes with the muffler and hardware. Mid pipe not included.

Exit caps are stylishly milled with the Boz Brothers B logo and tribal etching. Components are so precisely machined and assembled that they require only four stainless steel button head screws on each end to secure them. All systems are packed exclusively with long-lasting Silent Sport Premium from Germany. All Gild series slip-on/bolt-on exhausts have undergone extensive R&D. Street cores feature 2” high-percentage perforated cores to assure a quieter exhaust tone; most average 82-84 dB at idle, 93-95 dB at 5000 rpm (tested statically at 20”, 45°); undertail models have shorter mufflers so sound levels will be slightly higher. 6061 T-6 aluminum billet end caps are CNC-machined from solid material to exacting tolerances. Dyno tested and tuned to work perfectly with your stock fuel curve/mapping. Features show-quality polished stainless steel muffler shells, end caps and tips. Muffler shells are extremely lightweight and robotically welded for a seamless fit. Huge 2.5” diameter outlet tips have an aggressive 55° slash-cut that screams MotoGP/Stunter styling.

Volkswagen Golf GTE Plug-in Hybrid UK debut

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

The VW Golf GTE (pictured) gets its UK debut at the NEX next week The Volkswagen Golf GTE – which VW see as a plug-in hybrid Golf GTI – was revealed in February ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show last month and is now heading for the Gadget Show Live at the NEC next week for its UK debut. With a 1.4 litre TSI petrol turbo producing 148bhp and a 101 bhp electric motor, the Golf GTE promises decent performance – 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds – daft official economy figures of 188 mpg and the ability to run on electric power only for up to 31 miles. It’s an appealing combination for a Golf that can offer city running benefits with a turn of decent performance when the mood takes, although at a price likely to be north of £30k it’s not exactly a budget buy.

Elon Musk has been teasing us with something called the Hyperloop for a while now, referring to some Goldbergian cross between a railgun and an air hockey table that would zoot us and scoot us from San Francisco to Los Angeles in a half-hour. Now, in a 57-page PDF available here or here, he's outlined just what Hyperloop could be. Bad news?
