Video: How DGT Architects created Renault's Paris show stand

    Mon, 29 Oct 2012

The creators of the Renault stand at this year's Paris motor show have released a video explaining how they created one of the most popular show stands in recent years. The DGT Architects-designed Renault stand – named ‘The Bump' – was one of the stars of the show this year with its curves and lighting drawing praise and attracting admirers from across the event.  A total of 388 large squashed light globes that softly glowed a variety of colors were hung from the ceiling and simulated the movements of waves as they illuminated the stand below. To convey a sense of motion to the cars underneath, DGT used the movement of the lights and the creation of two hills.

Ferrari 599 GTO photo and prices

The Ferrari 599 GTO snapped at a private launch event The rumour-mill has been running wild on the first GTO to come out of Ferrari in quite some time. We first heard news of a ‘Limited Edition’ Ferrari 599 in late October when we spoke to a guy who’d been invited to put a deposit on a ‘Special 599′. At that point we had no clue it would get the GTO badge.

    BMW 1-series M Coupe (2011) teaser video

    Tue, 31 Aug 2010

BMW is continuing to build up the hype ahead of the launch of its next M car – this is a teaser video giving us our first glimpse of the undisguised BMW 1-series M Coupe What’s new is our first look at this hot 1-series’ butch bodykit, complete with an engorged front bumper and triple air intakes. There are CSL-alike 19-inch wheels too, and sitting between the cross-drilled front discs is a twin-turbo 3.0-litre straight-six, producing 335bhp and 369lb ft. Drive, thankfully, goes to just the rear wheels, and they’ll be a choice of either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. There’ll be an M diff too, but we hear it might be on the options list as BMW’s money men fight to keep the list price under £40k.
