Cam bearings should always be replaced when rebuilding an engine because any wear in this bearings will cause a reduction in oil pressure.  Most engine rebuilders know the key to engine life is proper clearance in the cam bearings. The camshaft is in the middle of the engine block and one of the first to receive engine oil.  Worn cam bearings will waste oil pressure and starve oil from other parts of the engine under full load conditions.

2013 Nissan Quest base price stays at $26,815

Wed, 03 Oct 2012

Nissan is giving the 2013 Quest minivan the same base price as the 2012 model—$26,815 including the $825 shipping charges—and cutting the sticker price on two of the more popular trim levels. The top-trim Quest LE sees its sticker price climb of $290 to $43,465, but gets the around-view monitor added to the list of standard equipment. The sticker price of the 2013 Nissan Quest SV, one step up from the base model, was trimmed $1,310 from the 2012 model price to $30,565.

Porsche GT3 to launch at Geneva

Thu, 29 Jan 2009

The next in line for the mid-life facelift (Gen 2) of the Porsche 911 is the GT3, following on from last year’s revisions to the Carrera and Targa. The GT3 has had only minor modifications to its looks, instead the detail, as you would hope, has gone on under the skin. The engine has gone up in size from the old 3.6 litres to 3.8, yielding an increase in bhp – up to 435bhp.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse. It’s the final, final Gallardo. Probably.

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse (pictured) will debut at Frankfurt We did think Lamborghini had come to the end of the road with the Gallardo ahead of an all new Gallardo arriving in 2014, but they have one more trick up their sleeves to milk the last drop out of the most successful car in Lamborghini’s history – the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse. The Squadra Corse is, in effect, a road-going version of the tgrack Super Trofeo – as was the Blancpain and the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale – but this looks certain to be the last of the Gallardos. The Squadra Corse gets plenty of input from the Super Trofeo, with a carbon fibre rear wing, carbon ceramic brakes and a carbon fibre, removable, engine cover.
