Dodge future products: Caliber replacement will test Fiat alliance

Dodge will get a new compact sedan for the 2013 model year. The sedan, which replaces the Dodge Caliber, is crucial because it will be the first vehicle to showcase the full range of benefits from the Fiat-Chrysler alliance. Volvo Aims High With Its Self-Driving Car Tech Project

SWEDISH car maker Volvo has announced it will embark on a large scale trial to refine the technology behind its self-driving cars. Volvo is no stranger to the technology having already conducted controlled experiments using ‘road trains’ – cars following each other closely at speed – but this exercise will involve 100 cars being deployed in the busy streets of Gothenburg, Sweden. The project ‘Drive Me – Self-driving cars for sustainable mobility’ is a joint initiative between Volvo Car Group, the Swedish Transport Administration, the Swedish Transport Agency, Lindholmen Science Park and the City of Gothenburg.

Bugatti has concluded its 100th birthday celebrations at the 2009 Dubai Motor Show by revealing three more special edition Veyrons. First up is the ‘Nocturne’, which is limited to a five-unit production run in the Middle East. It boasts contrasting black and polished aluminium body panels, as well as galvanised side windows and custom rims, while inside are a galvanised platinum centre console and a black magnesium dashboard.
