This Unit Features Functional Design That Adds an Appealing Character To Your Golf Cart or UTV Without The Look of a Box

This is our new radio console designed specifically for roof mounting on Golf Carts and UTV's that are equipped with a roof. We designed this unit to be compact in size, easy to install, look great, but most important sound BIG! Lots of air space for a deeper base response.

Our new Golf Cart console is unlike the rest on the market not only it's small size but the design permits the use of 6.5" speakers, not the standard 5.25" that most other manufactures use. Another great feature is the design angle that the speakers are aimed, so the sound passes just under your shoulders and not aimed down like most others, this enables you to experience true sound waves and not blasting most of them at the floor.

NOTE: Factory speaker holes are drilled to a 5" hole diameter which is most common for 6.5" speaker frames. This unit has been designed to house and industry standard 6.5" speaker to where the outer ring diameter will not exceed the molded plastic area. Some 6.5" speakers may require the 5" hole to be enlarged depending on the manufacture, and this is easily done with a small barrel sander on a hand drill, however the majority on the consumer market will fit into the factory drilled holes provided.

The unit is designed to use a standard single din radio head, the same used in most automotive and marine applications. In applications such as Golf Carts standard automotive speakers can be used, but we prefer that marine grade water-resistant type. The unit is easy to mount as is has been designed with (4) mounting points, and features threaded spacers that will mount the unit with a 1/5" air-gap. This method allows mounting to roofs that may have ridges or structural indents. It also keeps the suns heat from transferring to the radio, not to mention eliminating potential roof vibration.

We include mounting hardware that will enable mounting to most flat roofs. In the event you may require longer bolts, we used standard 1/4" X 20 thread size that can be purchased and most any hardware store. Also included are (4) stainless steel rubber seal washers that self-seal the 1/4" holes through the roof.

This unit features a foam rubber seal between the base and top half to help keep water out.

Manufactured in durable black ABS with a raised grain finish that looks great!

The unit comes assembled ( un-wired ) with all mounting hardware and directions. We also pre-drill the (2) speaker holes for 6.5" speakers, and pre-cut the front opening to fit a standard single din radio chassis. You can have your radio and speakers installed and ready-to-rock in under an hour!

We make every effort to make your radio and speaker installation as easy as possible, however some equipment manufactures can vary from the industry standard cut-outs we have provided.

This unit is designed to use (2) 6.5” speakers with the majority requiring a 5” hole as provided on this model. In the case your 6.5” speakers do not fit in the holes it will be necessary to enlarge the holes to compensate. This is easiest done using a drill and 1” - 1,1/2” sanding drum, rotating the drill while turning inside the hole until you reach the correct diameter to fit your speakers. The ABS plastic material used to manufacture the console is very easy and predictable to work with.

The radio cut-out is also industry standard and yours has been test fit with a standard “single din” radio mounting chassis. There is a possibility that your radio bezel may be larger than the one we use, therefore it may be necessary for you to trim a small portion off of the bottom lip ( cover ) if heavy contact is evident. It is a good idea to allow the lip to make contact with the bezel as this will aid in the support of the radio face. To make this adjustment you can carefully use a sanding drum, or a sanding block with an aggressive grit paper, such as 80—100.

Take your time making any of these adjustments and test fit between trims to achieve the best possible fit and finish.
