New gen 3 models sell for over $1,200.00 and do the same thing.  You can track your leased aircraft, or if you run a flight school you can always know where they are, take offs, landings... etc. If you decide to upgrade to the newer generation they are giving you almost what I'm selling it for ($150 or $175 for units like this for trade in value... I don't remember the exact amount).

Working perfectly when removed and I checked with the factory, who pinged it just before posting and according to them it reports as being a Sky02 with firmware 2.04 It was programmed to AFF (2 minute), but you can easily customize it to report at many different intervals with the included accessory cable (up to 20 minute intervals, maybe more). I also have a PDF version of the installation in a complete operating manual will email you (comes with a paper original, but the PDF version might be more complete)
