This is a GREAT ITEM!! It is an ORIGINAL VW PART!!!!! It should work on the 1998-2005 BEETLE MODELS!!!! REMEMBER, THE VERIFICATION OF WHETHER OR NOT THE PART WILL WORK ON YOUR PARTICULAR APPLICATION IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!! The PART NUMBER is ALWAYS LISTED and it is YOUR JOB to check with your LOCAL MECHANIC or VW DEALER and see if the part will fit YOUR APPLICATION!! You will be getting 1 VW BEETLE THROTTLE CABLE!!!!! It was removed from a 1998 BEETLE with the 2.0 ENGINE and the AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION and is VW part # 1J0 723 555 S!!!!! It was removed from a RUNNING and DRIVING CAR!!! Since ebay seems to allow buyer returns for any little thing these days, LET ME BE SPECIFIC FOR ALL OF YOU WHO LIKE TO ASSUME!!!!! YOU ARE ONLY BIDDING ON THE ITEM THAT IS LISTED AND NOTHING ELSE!!!!! IF YOU DON'T SEE IT IN THE PICTURE THEN IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION!!!!! I know that sounds harsh, but when they allow a buyer to return a door handle because it doesn't include an ignition key than I guess you have to be blunt!!!!!!
