Vintage Anthes Truck Flares from the 1950's..... 

These were manufactured by the Anthes Force Oiler Company..... a manufacturer of truck and highway safety equipment, out of Fort Madison, Iowa.....

These were used before the advent of flashing lights and such....these were lit using kerosene and set along the highway to signal oncoming traffic....

These have some paint loss and are a bit dirty.....
